"Life is too short to be boring"

Sunday, I sat in church listening to my pastor, Scott Simmerok, talk about juicy fruit. He asked us a series of questions including: How juicy is your love? How juicy is your joy? When people run into you, does your kindness drip all over them? Or when people get close to you, do they find that your gentleness dried up? I began to wonder, am I juicy?

One question led to another and I began wondering: What is my life purpose? Am I fulfilling God's Will for me? Are all aspects of my life as happy and joyous as they should be? Are my friendships real and full of quality? Am I giving enough of myself? Are my children getting a mother with patience, love and guidance? Am I making enough time to be a Godly Family? Is my husband getting a wife who is understanding, respectful and supportive? How can I balance being a great mother, wife, daughter, friend, and Christian without spreading myself thin? And hobbies, can they still exist?

Thus the reason for my blog: self-discovery and the journey it presents. Over the months to come I hope to explore all the questions I have and the feelings that go along with them.

Topics to come: Weight Loss, Parenting, Marriage, Friendship, The Past, Faith, Everyday Obstacles, Life Goals, Fear of Failure, Confidence or Lack of, Life's Ups and Downs, Hobbies, Finances and many many more.

We're all juicy fruit, one way or another, waiting for a harvest...and the right answers.
